1. Raw Material Receiving and Analysis
Ethanol (≥96°C), deionized water, and essences undergo GC-FID and refractometer analyses upon incoming inspection. Waterborne bacterial contamination is kept below 10 cfu/ml using membrane filtration.
2. Formula Preparation & Homogenization
Raw materials are combined in stainless steel ATEX mixer tanks under temperature control. Homogenization time and deionized water temperature are maintained between 15±2 minutes / 20±1°C to maintain pH stability.
3. Microbiological & Physicochemical Tests
Alcohol level – % v/v, measured with a digital densimeter.
pH – Potentiometric method, verification within the 5.5–7.0 range.
Microbiology – TPC, E. coli, P. aeruginosa <10 cfu/ml.
Stability – 40°C/75%RH accelerated test, color and odor change monitored.
4. Filtration, Filling, and Capping
After particle removal with a 0.45µm cartridge filter, the filling line is sanitized according to the CIP/SIP protocol. Filling volume is controlled with a tolerance of ±0.5%; capping torque is set between 0.8–1.2N·m.
5. Packaging and Label Compliance
Packaging materials (PET, glass, HDPE) are food contact approved and include recycling coding according to EN13432 requirements. Labels bear hazard pictograms and the UFI code in accordance with CLP and the Biocide Regulation (TR).
6. Final Control and Lot Release
Ready-made product samples are verified using GC-MS aroma fingerprint analysis against a reference library. Data integrity is stored on an FDA 21 CFR Part 11-compliant LIMS, and the lot is released for shipment after QP approval.
